Project Backstory
This project started the way many of ours in Spearfish do, with a homeowner ready to replace dated surfaces and give their home a cleaner, brighter look. They came to us wanting an upgrade that would feel current and hold up over time.
They chose Calacatta Prado Quartz for the new countertops. The bright white background with its soft veining brought the fresh, open feel they were after, and the engineered quartz gave them a hard-wearing, low-maintenance surface for daily life.
We handled the fabrication and installation so the pattern carried cleanly across the counters. The result is a space that looks refreshed and works hard, a practical upgrade built to serve this South Dakota home for years to come.

Calacatta Prado is an engineered quartz with a bright white base and soft gray veining that reads like natural marble. Because it is made from ground quartz bound with resin, it is hard, non-porous, and resistant to scratches and stains, which makes it well suited to busy, everyday use.
Very little. Quartz does not need sealing the way natural stone does, and routine cleaning with mild soap and water is enough to keep it looking bright. That low upkeep is one of the main reasons homeowners choose it over marble or older laminate surfaces.
Because quartz is manufactured, its pattern is more consistent slab to slab than natural stone, which helps the veining flow cleanly across long runs of counter.
